Vice President Kashim Shettima, Speaker of the House of Reps Tajudeen Abbas, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and hosts of other dignitaries have attended the wedding Fatiha of the daughter of ex-governor of Kano state, Rabi’u Kwankwaso.
DAILY NIGERIAN reports that the daughter of Mr Kwankwaso, A’isha, has tied the knot with Fahad Mangal, the son of a business mogul, Dahiru Mangal.
The wedding, which took place at the Palace of the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, on Saturday was attended by dignitaries.
Mr Shettima arrived at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport at about 10:am, while Mr Obasanjo arrived earlier at about 9:30am, wearing white babbarriga and red cap, a symbol of the Kwankwasiyya political movement introduced by Mr Kwankwaso in 2011.
Also in attendance were former Senate President, Bukola Saraki and former governors of Kaduna, Akwa Ibom and Sokoto States, Ahmed Makarfi, Victor Attah and Aminu Tambuwal respectively.
Other dignitaries include Defense Minister, Abubakar Badaru, the son of late Head of State, Muhammad Sani Abacha and Major Hamza Al-Mustapha.
The wedding was also graced by traditional rulers from different parts of the country.
