Shettima condoles with Murtala Sule-Garo over elder brother’s death

Vice President Kashim Shettima has condoled with Murtala Sule-Garo, the Kano State Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2023 elections, over the death of his elder brother, Abubakar Sule-Garo, popularly known as Babangida.

In a condolence message signed on Friday, the vice-president sympathised with entire Garo family over the loss, describing the deceased as “a most committed advocate of his community who endeared himself to many with his politeness, kindness and commitment to the well-being of his people”.

The VP said he was saddened by the passing of Mr Garo who was a former Managing Director of Abubakar Rimi Market Management Board in Kano.

He said: “I sincerely extend my deepest condolences to you and the entire Garo family during this difficult mourning period.

“Alhaji Abubakar was a most committed advocate of his community who endeared himself to many with his politeness, kindness and commitment to the well-being of his people.

“His dedication to service and his contributions to Kano State will be remembered fondly. His demise has left me, as well as many others, saddened. He was a proud and dedicated citizen who loved working for the common people.”

Mr Shettima concluded by praying to God “to forgive the shortcomings of the departed, receive his soul into eternal peace, and grant you and your entire family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss”.
