Skye Bank launches new digital banking solution

In conjunction with the world’s leading computer technology company Oracle Corporation, Skye Bank Plc has developed a new digital banking solution called skyexperience marking a historic development for Nigeria’s financial services institution.

Skyexperience, according to financial experts is an innovation that will enhance the digital development of Nigeria’s financial institution’s pace as it is a grand digital solution designed not just to provide omni-channel user experience across multiple devices but also boost Skye Bank Plc digital competitiveness objective, which is projected to grow Skye Bank’s e-payment-enabled customer base to over two million by the end of 2018.

According to Mohammad Ahmad Chairman of Skye Bank, the launch of Skyexperience  is “a timely intervention in the banking industry and a modest contribution towards the economic development of Nigeria, especially in the area of financial technology and digital evolution.”

Ahmad thanked the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, for leading the way to the future through its e-payment System Vision (PSV 2020).

The bank’s Group Managing Director/CEO, Tokunbo Abiru, said the development was a display of the bank’s commitment to its valued customers who have continued to not only do business with the bank, but also challenged it on how best to serve them.

Mr Abiru said: “As a pledge of commitment to a new service charter with our customers, we have decided to render to you this digital banking solution, which we have called Skyexperience, denoting such positive values as experience, excellence, excitement and experiential.”

The key value proposition of Skyexperience is that its omni-channel capability helps to simplify service delivery and personalise customer experience. It enables enhanced security of transaction and empowers customer self-service.

With the Skyexperience, setting up standing transfer instructions to family members, transferring money to distant relations or business partners, opening of new accounts and requesting for and stopping of debit cards can be easily done. Easy assessment and management of all accounts activities simultaneously can as well be carried out by customers.
