The Sokoto State Water Board on Wednesday restated its commitment to tackle the current drop in water supply in parts of the state capital.

The board, in statement, issued in Sokoto by its General Manager, Mr Ahmed Moyi said it had taken measures to sustain water supply to residents within the capital city and its environs.

The board blamed the drop in water supply on erratic power supply, but assured that it was working to reverse the trend and provide adequate water to residents.

Mr Moyi solicited the support and understanding of the residents while assuring that the board was working to ensure adequate potable water supply was fully restored.
