A frontline youth leader and convener of a pro-democracy group, Youth Advocacy for Good Governance, Abdussamad Aliyu-Dogondaji, has felicitated with the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar, on the occasion of his 64th birthday anniversary.
Mr Aliyu-Dogondaji, in a congratulatory message sent to DAILY NIGERIAN on Monday, described the Sultan “one of the most selfless and worthy men to serve the Sultanate”.
According to him, the Sultan’s efforts, commitments and achievement towards ensuring a better Nigeria speak volumes.
The statement read: “It is without doubt that Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar is one of the most selfless and worthy men to serve in the capacity of Sultan of Sokoto.
“As the 20th Sultan of Sokoto and frontline leader and statesman, you have, with the magnitude of your character and military discipline, led hundred million Muslims, roughly fifty percent of the nation’s population, to greater spiritual heights.”
On Mr Abubakar’s leadership qualities, Mr Aliyu-Dongondaji said: “Your efforts, commitments and achievement towards ensuring a better Nigeria speak volumes.
“You are a leader with Integrity and outstanding qualities that embraces all Nigerians irrespective of religious differences.
“Worthy of mentioning and celebrating also, is your wealth of experience, knowledge and exposure, which makes you outstanding and exceptional among many other leaders.”
“I want to personally thank you for protecting the Good Image of the Palace and your fearless courage to speak out to governments as the needs arise.
“Your commitment towards bringing the 5 royal family houses together in unity is unprecedented and commendable.
“Happy 64th birthday, Mai Alfarma Sarkin Musulmi. I wish you a healthy life and many prosperous years!.” The statement concluded.
