A 5-year-old boy, who observed his father went through a red light twice in a row called the emergency services, German police reported on Monday.
The operator in the region in northern Bavaria took the call briefly after hearing a child’s voice before the line was cut.
The officer taking the call immediately returned it, only to get the father on the line.
He apologized for the use of the emergency number before handing the phone to his son to explain.
The 5-year-old lost no time in telling the police that his father had twice broken the rules and suggested that he be locked up.
The officer managed to convince the child that sending a police car was unnecessary in this case.
