Operatives of the State Security Services, otherwise known as DSS, have arrested the publisher of Saharareporters and the convener of #RevolutionNow protests, Omoyele Sowore.
Mr Sowore was arrested at his apartment in the early hours of Saturday, DAILY NIGERIAN learnt.
Mr Sowore posted a distress tweet at exactly 1:25 am with an eyewitness, saying “DSS invades Sowore’s”.
He also tweeted “Ja p”, in apparent effort to make additional tweet before his phone was seized by the operatives.
The activist has planned #RevolutionNow, a series of protests against bad governance in Nigeria, scheduled for August 5, 2019.
