A senator representing Borno South, Ali Ndume, on Tuesday appeared before a joint panel probing the invasion of thugs into the chamber and theft of the symbol of authority, the mace.
On April 18, five thugs invaded the Senate and carted away with the mace.
The mace was later found by the police.
DAILY NIGERIAN reports that the session held behind closed doors.
Senator Ovie Omo-Agege who also appeared before the panel refused to speak on the matter, saying he has gone to court.
The joint committee of Senate and House of Representatives, co-chaired by Bala Na-Allah and Betty Apiafi had last week summoned Messrs Omo-Agege and Ndume.
