2023: Ex-Supreme Court registrar canvasses support for Tinubu/Shettima presidency

The immediate past Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, Hadizatu Uwani Mustapha, has called on Nigerians to vote for the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, in the 2023 general elections.

Mrs Mustapha, who is the chairperson for the ‘Hadizatu Uwani Mustapha, HUM, for Tinubu/Shettima Ticket’, a campaign movement she launched recently, made the call while speaking with DAILY NIGERIAN in Abuja.

According to her, Tinubu/Shettima presidency will usher in a new Nigeria because, stressing that the candidates are go-getters who had been tested and trusted with the leadership of their own states.

She said: “Lagos State is where it is today courtesy of a solid blueprint established by Bola Ahmad Tinubu. Basically, his political philosophy prioritises the development of human capital and economy in the state.

“So also Borno State where Kashim Shettima had brought his leadership prowess to bear in bringing the Boko Haram insurgency to its lowest ebb.

“Fortunately, Governor Babagana Zulum is continuing from where Shettima stopped. Borno residents are now going about their normal lives with no fear of bombings. In fact, the issue of bombings and suicide bombers is gradually becoming a thing of the past.

“So, these are the qualities of leaders Nigeria needs, not those that will keep promising heaven and earth without a defined strategy to fulfill these promises.”

Speaking on the movement, the Gwoza-born legal practitioner said the aim is to sensitize Nigerians on the need to come out en masse and vote for the APC.

“We will go into the nooks and crannies of the country to mobilize support for Tinubu/Shettima presidency by highlighting on the manifesto of the candidates and that of the APC.

“We are sure that if the APC is elected, the current issue of insecurity and economic challenges will be addressed.”
