The Deputy Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, APC-PCC, United Kingdom Chapter, Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi has congratulated Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi on the occasion of his 7th anniversary as the helmsman of the ‘Confluence State’.
Mr Abdullahi, who is also the Convener, The Asiwaju Group, TAG, described Kogi State under Mr Bello’s leadership as a new haven of security, human capital development, people-centric policies and other democratic deliverables.
In a statement by the TAG National Coordinator, Abdulrazak Danjuma, Mr Abdullahi affirmed that Kogi has never been secured as it obtains under Mr Bello.
He said: “For Kogites, it has been seven years of unequal tranquility, unparalleled serenity, and unmatched visible turnaround across the length and breadth of the State.
“Kogi State is indeed blessed with the leadership of Governor Bello. It has never been this progressive until the arrival of the ‘White Lion’. Have a look around the State, and what you see is nothing but physical and human development.
“Only recently, President Muhammadu Buhari visited the State to commission several laudable projects. Has that ever happened under any Governor in recent years?
“Every sector of the State (economy, Infrastructure, human capital development, youth development, health, education and agriculture) have had Midas touch of Mr. Governor. Indeed, Kogi has never been this blessed. He is a living trailblazer!,” Mr Abdullahi added.
The APC stalwart, who spoke in flowery terms, lauded the efforts of the governor in putting Kogi State as one of the oil-producing states in the country, saying that such fete is unprecedented in the entire history of the State.
“Governor Yahaya Bello has written his name on the sands of time as the Governor who put Kogi State on the world map with OPEC recognition of the State as a State that produces oil and gas. Such a milestone is indescribably mind-blowing,” he stressed further.
Mr Abdullahi, therefore, assured the workaholic governor of the support and prayers of Kogi indigenes at home and abroad.
While promising his continued support on the governor’s drive towards changing the Kogi narrative in the comity of states across the federation, the TAG convener said: “Our highly performing Governor will continue to enjoy the support of Kogites at home and in the diaspora.”
“He has shown that he is a leader with listening ears and the entire Kogites are ready to support him all the way in driving more development into the State,” he concluded.
