President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday commissioned the Integrated Gas Handling Facility and Liquefied Petroleum Processing and Dispensing Plants built and operated by the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company, an Upstream Subsidiary of NNPC in Oredo, Edo State.
One of the consortia executing Federal Government’s Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano, AKK, Gas Pipeline Project, Brentex Petroleum Services Ltd/China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Co Ltd, BrentexCPP, has assured timely delivery of the project and within the tipulated cost.
The Federal Government is set to disburse $2.5billion to the contractors of the Ajaokuta Kaduna and Kano, AKK, gas pipeline.
The Federal Government has declared Jan. 1, 2021 to Dec. 31, 2030 as “The Decade of Gas Development for Nigeria”.

The Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano, AKK, gas pipeline project will provide the needed energy to revive the moribund textile and other industries in northern part of the country, says the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC.
