President Muhammadu Buhari has on Thursday pledged that the Nigerian Government would sustain the deployment of Geographic Information Services, GIS, and other similar technologies to help farmers achieve increased production.
The Sustainable Democracy Agenda, SUDA, a political pressure group has commended President Muhammadu Buhari and the Adams Oshiomhole-led National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for endorsing Senate Leader, Senator Ahmed Lawan as president of the ninth Senate.
At the risk of being immodest and without equivocation, Senator Ahmed Lawan, current Majority Leader in the outgoing senate is, to all intent and purpose, the man who should lead the 9th Senate which is due to come on board June this year.
Following a threat for strike by the Nigeria’s oil marketers associations over nonpaymet of oil subsidy claims by the Federal Government, the Senate has called on the government to direct its concerned agencies to immediately pay the subsidy arrears which have risen from N429 billion to N1 trillion.
