The Sokoto State governor, Aminu Tambuwal, has sacked the state commissioner for Information, Bello Goronyo, over alleged sabotage.
A statement by the governor’s spokesman, Abu Shekara, said the permanent secretary of the ministry was directed to take over the affairs of the ministry.
“His Excellency Aminu Waziri Tambu has relieved Barrister Bello Goronyo of his appointment as Commissioner of Information with immediate effect.
“The permanent secretary has been directed to take over the affairs of the ministry immediately.
“His relieved (sic) was sequel to sabotaging state government efforts on its laudable programmes and activities,” Mr Shekara added.
