Tinubu is alive and healthy, says Sanwo-Olu

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Wednesday, described the trending report about the reported death of the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, as a rumour, saying “picture no dey lie.”

Mr Sanwo-Olu made stated this on Wednesday while speaking with newsmen, shortly after commissioning 102 waste trucks and 100 double dino bins.

Before now there had been viral photos of Mr Sanwo-Olu’s visit to Tinubu in London.

Also, the Special Adviser on Media to Tinubu, Tunde Rahman had earlier confirmed that his principal is alive and without any medical problem.

Mr Rahman had made this known through a statement following rumours that the former Lagos governor has passed on.

The statement reads: “His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is fine. He is hale and hearty. He is not in any hospital. He has no medical problem that would require hospitalization. Yes he is out of the country at the moment.

“He will be back shortly. Anytime he travels out of the country, the next thing some mischievous people would say is he is sick, hospitalized or has died.

“It is shameful that perpetrators of this evil are not deterred by the fact that each time this fake news has been propagated, they have been proven wrong.

“Who really is afraid of Asiwaju Tinubu? Those wishing Asiwaju Tinubu evil or dead should be careful. They should know the matter of life and death is in the hand of only God Almighty.”

Corroborating, Mr Sanwo-Olu said: “On our leader that I went to see, there was a rumour peddling around. He is well, he is healthy. We conversed about what is happening in our party and nation.

“We should put our minds at rest, there is nothing to worry about. Can’t you see? Picture no dey lie!.”
