The convener, The Asiwaju Group, TAG, Mustapha Abdullahi, has described the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu’s performance at the Chatham House as impressive.
In a statement on Tuesday, Mr Abdullahi said he was impressed by Mr Tinubu’s team for its ability to give a clear vision of security, economic and foreign policy ahead of the 2023 general elections.
“It was indeed a historical event as the leading Presidential Candidate, HE. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu addressed the Chatham House think tank in London, giving a clear vision on Security, economic and foreign policy ahead of the 2023 general elections,” the statement noted.
Mr Abdullahi, who is also the deputy chairman APC UK Presidential Campaign Council, PCC, reiterated his commitment and support for Mr Tinubu, assuring a resounding victory come 2023.
The statement noted that Mr Abdullahi’s passion for the APC and its candidate made him come to the Chatham House a few hours before the event to mobilise and coordinate supporters to welcome the presidential candidate.
“Dr Abdullahi expressed gratitude towards the leading Presidential Candidate and his team for choosing the United Kingdom as their first choice of visit during the international engagement campaign period.
“This indeed shows the importance of the diaspora community in the upcoming general election,” the statement added.
Mr Abdullahi, on behalf of the APC UK PCC, commended Ade Omole, the director APC PCC Diaspora Directorate for his tireless efforts in promoting and supporting the presidential candidate.
The statement disclosed that after the Chatham House event, members of the Diaspora Directorate of Tinubu/Shetima Campaign and the APC UK Presidential Campaign Council hosted Mr Tinubu and his team for a private town hall meeting.
