Tinubu condoles with Jigawa governor over mother’s death

President Bola Tinubu on Thursday sent his condolences to the governor of Jigawa, Malam Umar Namadi, over the death of his mother, Maryam Namadi.

Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, said this in a statement.

The deceased, who died on Wednesday, had been buried according to Islamic rites in the governor’s hometown of Kafin Hausa.

The president extolled the deceased’s community service and encouraged her family to immortalise her by continuing her philanthropic undertakings.

Mr Tinubu urged Namadi and other family members to take solace in the enduring good name left behind by her.
