“Every reasonable Nigerian has prayed for the best and have gone out to vote for the best and God has answered our prayers.

“The emergence of Sen. Bola Tinubu is a prayer answered, and it is a result actually expected because in my opinion, there is no presidential candidate among all those that contested in the election who has invested so much more to become the president of Nigeria than him.

“I am not saying that everything went perfectly well but in the circumstances that we are in and in the context of our own development, I think we got one of the best elections and one of the best results,” he said.

According to Mr Yelwa, the 2023 presidential election is a reflection of free, fair and credible elections in Nigeria so far.

“Since 1999 till date; I don’t know of any election that is so competitive and well contested with multifaceted successes from across all parties.

“There was almost no big, no small, major or minor political parties that has not gotten a share so far,” he said.

Also, Olubunmi Adetoye, a Bauchi of resident, said that the emergence of Tinubu would renew the hope of every Nigerian.

He said the President-elect deserved to be victorious in the election as he had massively campaigned in all the nooks and crannies of the country, adding that he has the capacity to take the country to the promised land.

Mr Adetoye lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for conducting what he termed as “the most transparent election in the history of Nigeria”.

“If a sitting governor could have lost his senatorial seat to an opposition party, if Tinubu could have lost Lagos State, what more evidence do we need to know that the election was free, fair and transparent,” he said.
