President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointments of new chief executive officers for agencies and parastatals under the Ministry of Communications, Innovations and digital economy.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the special adviser, Media and Publicity to the president, Ajuri Ngelale, said Mr Tinubu appointed Aminu Maida as the executive vice chairman and CEO of the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC.
The president also approved the reappointment of Inuwa Kashifu as the director general, National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA.
Other appointees according to the statement are: Nkechi Egerton-Idehen, MD/CEO, Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited, NIGCOMSAT; Vincent Olatunji, National Commissioner/CEO, Nigeria Data Protection Commission, NDPC, and; Tola Odeyemi as the Postmaster General/CEO, Nigerian Postal Service, NIPOST.
“Furthermore, in line with President Bola Tinubu’s determination to maximally leverage Nigeria’s proven technological and digital economic prowess to reposition the nation’s economy toward greater financial inclusion, the President has approved the appointment of Idris Alubankudi as Special Adviser to the President”, the statement added.
Mr Ngelale said all the appointments take immediate effect.
