The troops of 151 Battalion, 21 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, under the Operation Lafiya Dole, on Saturday ambushed Boko Haram terrorists and recovered the insurgents’ foodstuffs.
The troops, while on patrol at Mayanti village, along Mayanti- Banki junction road, in Borno state, neutralized 1 of the terrorists, while others sustained gunshot and wounds.
“They recovered 10 Bicycles, 9 bags of flour, 9 sachets of yeast, 2 bags of groundnut, packets of Maggi, a carton of detergent, 23 bottles of groundnut oil,” army spokesperson, Sani Usman Kukasheka said in a statement.
“Others include palm oil, a wrist watch, 50 sachets of salt, assorted drugs, 16 torchlights, 29 packs of cold patch and cash sum of Two thousand, Two hundred and Sixty-Six Naira,” Mr Kukasheka, a major general, added.
