Troops arrest Boko Haram fighters with N5m

The Nigerian troops in the Operation Lafiya Dole, have arrested four suspected Boko Haram insurgents with N5million cash in local and foreign currencies.

The suspects were arrested on Friday at Mulai military checkpoint on Damboa Road in Jere Local Government Area of Borno State.

The insurgents were also in possession of 6 AK 47 rifles.

Details are sketchy but informed sources said the suspects are currently under military custody for further interrogation.

The military authorities are yet to comment on the arrest.
