The Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission, Aisha Garba, has expressed willingness to partner with the Katsina State Government for improving the quality of basic education in the state.
Mrs Garba gave the assurance on Tuesday during a courtesy visit by Governor Dikko Radda at the UBEC headquarters in Abuja.
During the visit, the duo discussed about exploring partnership opportunities for reducing the number of out-of-school children in the state.
They also discussed strategies to ensure timely and adequate provision of funding for basic education projects in the state, including leveraging federal grants and other financial resources to support educational initiatives.
Both parties emphasized the need for improved educational infrastructure, such as building new schools, renovating existing ones, and providing essential learning materials and facilities.
They further highlighted the importance of continuous professional development for teachers which includes training programs to enhance teaching skills and methodologies, ensuring that educators are well-equipped to deliver quality education.
During the visit, both parties expressed a strong commitment towards working together to improve the quality of basic education in the state.
