UNIJOS alumni confer Worthy Ambassador award on Igho Sanomi

The University of Jos  Alumni Association, UJAA, has conferred a Worthy Ambassador award  on  a graduate of its University’s Geology and Mining Department, Mr. Igho Sanomi, who is the chairman of Taleveras Group.

The honour will be conferred on Sanomi on September 28 at the 2017 Alumni Reunion and Dinner in Abuja.

A statement by the president of UJAA, Idris Yakubu, said the new vice chancellor of UNIJOS, Prof. S.S. Maimako will also be introduced at the ceremony.

The statement said: “As part of the events to be undertaken during the event, Josites who have distinguished themselves in their areas of calling shall be honoured.

“You have been identified as an achiever, a Role Model and a Distinguished Josite whose activities over the years have impacted on the lives of the people and Josites around you.

“We are very proud of you, Mr. Igho Charles Sanomi, Chairman / Founder Taleveras and we especially wish to confer on you the award of Worthy Ambassador of the University of Jos Alumni Association (UJAA).”

In receiving news of the award, Mr Sanomi, commended and expressed his appreciation to the University of Jos Alumni for such honor.

He went further to dedicate the award to the memory of his late father, retired assistant Inspector General of Police, Dickens Sanomi, for enshrining in all his children the importance of education and most importantly guiding them to maintain, protect and defend the family name in all circumstances.
