Mr Bukar explained that the gesture was sequel to requests by the Students Union to enable its members complete their registration.

He, however, said that the e-registration portal would be closed on January 7.

“Following appeals by the Students Union Government, SUG, and well meaning individuals, the Management of the University of Maiduguri has reopened the e-registration portal to enable students who have not completed their online registration to do so on or before Sunday midnight, 7th January, 2018.”
