A 38-year-old security guard, Abdullahi Ardo, has committed suicide in Gombe State on Monday.
The spokesman for the Bauchi State Police Command, Mahid Abubakar, revealed this on his official X handle on Tuesday.
According to him, the deceased, who works at Child Care Development Primary School, used a rope to hang himself on the swing pole.
He urged residents to always check on their loved ones, saying they may be facing life-threatening problems.
He wrote, “Please SAY NO to SUICIDE and preach against it. A 38-year-old Mallam Abdullahi Ardo attached to Child Care Development Primary School as a watchman, was suspected to have committed suicide in the early hours of Monday by hanging himself using a piece of rag on a swinging pole within the school at Tudun Wada qtrs Gombe.
“This is a sad event; endeavour to check on your loved ones; they might be facing serious problems that may affect their lives,” he added.
