Yobe youth commend Buni for nominating Ibrahim Abbas as NEDC focal person

Youths across Yobe State have commended Governor Mai Mala Buni for nominating Ibrahim Ali-Abbas, as focal person for the coordination of the activities and programmes of the North-East Development Commission, NEDC.

According to the youths, the appointment is well placed; saying the governor’s pledge to carry the youths along in his administration is being fulfilled day by day.

Recall that in a letter signed by the Permanent Secretary Administration and General Services in the governor’s office, Suleiman Bakura, had conveyed to nomination of Mr Ali-Abbas, saying that the nominee Abbas would ensure effective coordination as the NEDC executes its immediate intervention programmes.

DAILY NIGERIAN reports that Mr Ali-Abbas is a lecturer in the Department of Political Science, Yobe State University with a PhD in Politics and Government from University Putra in Malaysia.

He has an MSc from Bayero University, Kano and a BSc degree from the University of Maiduguri.
