
The leadership and members of the Yoruba Council of Youths (YCY), a coalition of various youths and students organisations in South-West geo-political zone of Nigeria and in diaspora has passed vote of confidence on Director General, Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Professor Bola Akinterinwa.
In a statement and signed by the National President of the organisation, Aremo Oladotun Hassan, the body heartily commend Akinterinwa’s unprecedented landmark achievements and succinct track records of excellence, integrity, patriotism, innovations, dynamism, untainted diligence in the service of the nation and unparalleled delivery of developmental prospects at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA).
Besides, it said, “We appreciate his qualitative intelligence and impeccable character, which reflects his true identity and personality, aimed at the overall sustenance of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs as second to none institution in Nigeria and Africa, predicated on United Nations standard practices and administrative objectives.
“We are, indeed, very proud of him as our father, mentor and trail-blazer, whose passionate drive and quest for developmental positive change is in consonance with the President Muhammadu Buhari’s change mantra determinants and noble vision for the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“We hope to use this medium to further encourage and propel him not to be deterred at his success mileage, optimistic goals and superlative objectives, for he has proven his critics, detractors and agent provocateurs beyond reasonable doubt as a detribalized, true Nigerian and Man of Excellence, whose yardstick for humanity is pegged on merits and not nepotism. Based on this premise, we hereby unanimously pass a “vote of confidence” on Professor Bola A. Akinterinwa, as Director General of Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA).
