Isa Gusau, the special adviser to the governor of Borno State Babagana Zulum, has died.
DAILY NIGERIAN gathered that the media adviser died on Thursday in India after illness.
Mr Gusau, a former Daily Trust journalist, served as media adviser to the then governor of Borno State Kashim Shettima for eight years, and was re-appointed to the same position by his successor.
The late journalist had obtained a Master’s Degree in Media and Public Relations with the highest classification of Distinction at the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom.
The late spokesman had in 2020 requested one-year study leave to move to the UK for studies, from where he remotely oversaw the governor’s media activities.
Mr Gusau had previously obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with the highest classification of First-Class in Media, Public Relations and Advertising from Middlesex University in London.
He held another Masters’ Degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Labour and Public Relations from the University of Maiduguri.
He also held OND and HND in Mass Communication from the Kaduna Polytechnic where he had hit 4.35 out of 5.0 in his final semester examinations.
