The Northern Youth Initiative for Peace and Good Governance has awarded the CEO of Azure Partner, Maryam Shettima, with a medal as Icon of Societal Transformation.
The group said they recognized Ms. Shettima for her social activism, commitment to good governance and philanthropy.
Presenting the award on Tuesday in Abuja, the director of research and documentation of the group, Ahmed Ibrahim, said Ms. Shettima stood out among other youths activists for her immense contribution to the entrenchment of democratic principles in the country.
Extolling her virtues further, he said the activist is also a bridge builder, dogged activist and promoter of good governance.
While accepting the award, Ms. Shettima, who is also the national coordinator of #iStandWithBuhari, said she was humbled by the honor.She said the award will encourage her to be more passionate and committed to the development of youths.
She thanked the group for finding her worthy for the award.
