The All Progressives Congress Campaign Council, APC PCC, has announced the postponement of its campaign rally, which was scheduled to hold on Friday in Taraba State.
The postponement was contained in a short statement signed by the secretary of the campaign council, James Faleke, on Thursday.
Mr Faleke, who didn’t disclose the reason for the postponement, however, said a new date for the rally will be communicated.
According to the updated campaign timetable released by the PCC, the presidential candidate of the ruling party, Bola Tinubu, was expected to deliver his message of “renewed hope” to the people of the North Eastern State on Friday before proceeding to Jigawa on Saturday.
“We regret to announce the postponement of the Taraba Campaign Rally slated for 20/1/23. A new date will be communicated,” Mr Falake said in a terse statement.
