The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, will declare Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, as the winner of Kano governorship elections in the state.

Mr Ganduje polled a total of 45,876 while Abba Yusuf of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, got 10,239 votes during the last Saturday’s supplementary elections in 28 local government areas of the state.

Computing the results with that of the March 9 governorship election which was declared inconclusive, the state’s Returning Officer, Bello Shehu, announced that Mr Ganduje polled 1,033,695 votes while Mr Yusuf got 1,024,713 votes.

Therefore, the margin of votes between the two contenders stands at 8,982.
