Kayode Fayemi has resigned his appointment as Minister of Mines and Steel Development.

Mr Fayemi, who is the All Progressives Congress, APC, flagbearer in the July 14 governorship election in Ekiti State, will officially address the press at 12:00 pm today to give his account of his stewardship in the ministry.

Recall that Mr Fayemi had tendered his resignation letter to President Muhammadu Buhari three weeks ago, but it officially takes effect from today (Wednesday), May 30.
