Kaduna Customs Area Command gets new controller

The new Controller of Customs, Kaduna Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Tijjani Abe, has assumed duty.
This is contained in a statement by the spokesman of the command, Superintendent of Customs, Muhammad Aminu, on Sunday in Kaduna.
He said that Mr Abe took over from the outgoing Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Mustafa Hashim on September 15, at the Command Headquarters in Kabala Doki, Kaduna.
“The outgoing Customs Area Controller during his handing over remarks thanked God Almighty for guiding him during his short stay in the Command, leading to huge positive difference in the revenue collection drive.
“The Command surpassed its monthly collection target since its unbundling in August 2019,” Mr Hashim was quoted as saying in the statement.
Mr Hashim, who was redeployed to North-Western Marine appreciated the management team, officers and men as well as stakeholders for their cooperation towards the feat achieved during his tenure.
He also urged them to render the same support and cooperation to his successor.
The statement also quoted Abe as lauding the outgoing Controller for his remarkable leadership style.
Mr Abe pledged to consolidate on the gains in line with the policy thrust of the Acting Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi.
“I’m a team player and game changer just like my predecessor, and I promised to continue from where Hashim stopped,” he said, and sought for the cooperation of personnel of the Service.
