NYSC commiserates, promises to get justice for deceased female corps member

The Management of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has commiserated with the family of late Tawose Modupe Busola, a Corps member with the call up number: OG/17A/2854, who was allegedly murdered by one Festus Udoh on Saturday, December 9, 2017.

The Management, led by the coordinator of the scheme in Ogun, John Okpo said, the entire NYSC family was grieved over the incident that led to the demise of the late corps member and condemned the act in its totality.

According to Mr Okpo, the NYSC Management is working to ensure that the perpetrator of the heinous crime is brought to book, adding that it will continue to protect and defend the rights of corps members.

He prayed God to console the family in their moment of grief.

Mr Okpo also advised Corps members to be security conscious always and promptly report any security threat to the appropriate authorities.

In his part, Hakeem Okunola, an uncle to the deceased, thanked the NYSC Management for the visit and its prompt action which led to the arrest of the alleged killer.

DAILY NIGERIAN gathered that the late Tawose Modupe Busola was until her death, a 2017 Batch A’ Corps Member serving in Ogun State.

Tawose was allegedly lured into a bush by Festus Udoh, 29, her driving instructor on Saturday, December 9.

Four days after, her decomposing body was discovered in a bush with her hand tied to a tree at Abule Ayo in Odeda Local Government Area.

Meanwhile, Udoh, the suspect, has confessed to the crime and has been remanded in prison while awaiting trial.
