TAG Convener joins Yahaya Bello as Buhari inaugurates projects in Kogi

On the invitation of Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, the Convener of The Asiwaju Group, TAG, Dr Mustapha Abdullahi, attended the official commissioning of landmark projects by President Muhammadu Buhari in the state.

The TAG National Coordinator, Abdulrazak Danjuma, in a statement on Wednesday, said the TAG convener was in the governor’s entourage to receive Mr Buhari during the commissioning of a reference hospital in Okene.

According to him, Mr Abdullahi was in the governor’s entourage that showed the President round the gigantic facility.

“Thereafter, the team arrived in Lokoja to commission the Ganaja Flyover built from scratch by the administration of Gov Yahaya Bello.

“The Flyover has improved vehicular movement around the metropolis whilst also giving the city the need beauty deserving of a state capital.

“As part of the administration’s efforts in repositioning the education sector, the governor initiated some secondary school projects.

“The President took time out to commission the completed Yahaya Bello Model Secondary School also in Lokoja, the state capital of Kogi State.

“The President commended the Governor for being a performer and a believer in providing facilities suitable for world class learning for his people.

“In furtherance of the State visit, Mr President proceeded to commissioning the Muhammadu Buhari Civic centre also located in Lokoja.

“The facility was named after the President with the Governor’s belief that Nigerian heroes ought to be celebrated while they are still alive,” the statement noted.

According to him, the Muhammadu Buhari Civic Centre is a world class edifice befitting of the personality of the President.

“The President thanked the Governor and the People of Kogi state for the support given to him and his administration and urged the Governor to continue to deliver on his campaign promises,” the statement added.
