The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has pledged to provide logistics support for the campaigns of the Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Mr Wike, who made the pledge on Thursday while commissioning the Nkpolu-Oroworokwo Flyover in Port Harcourt, said Mr Obi has all it takes to lead Nigeria.

“Each time you want to campaign in the state, let me know, all the logistics support, we will give to you,” he said.

Mr Wike noted that though he was aware of the humiliation meted out to Mr Obi before he joined the Labour Party, from the PDP, he nevertheless vowed not to allow criminals to take over the house he laboured for.

“I know the humiliation you suffered. Nobody will hear what you pass through and stay at the party, but I will not leave. I will stay and fight.

“I won’t leave this house. I will never allow armed robbers to take over this house. I will stay and chase away armed robbers.

“So, thank God because if you have not left, you would not have realized your ambition to be able to save Nigeria,” he added.
